Ryan Reynolds claps back after Martha Stewart claims he ‘isn’t funny’ in real life

Ryan Reynolds has hit back at Martha Stewart after she made a pretty insulting claim about him – and let’s just say, things are really heating up between these two.

Now, this celebrity feud is not one I had for my bingo card in 2024.

TV personality and chef Martha Stewart took a jibe at actor Ryan Reynolds, stating that he is not actually as funny as people think he is.

The 83-year-old made the comment on Bilt Rewards’ Rent Free game show after she was asked about which celebrities she thought respondents had named as the most fun to hang out with.

Stewart managed to guess her good friend Snoop Dogg who made the cut, but she was seemingly surprised to see one particular name there: Ryan Reynolds.

The Deadpool star is a fan favorite, but when it comes to Stewart, she doesn’t seem to rate his humor at all.

“He’s probably on the list just ’cause he covers himself up in his movies and you don’t see his face,” she said, before noting: “And you want to know something? He’s not so funny in real life. No, he’s not so funny. He’s very serious.”

Stewart added that she would “take Ryan off [the list], and I would put in somebody else.”

And who did she think would be better fitted?

“George Clooney, because he’s fun. George is really nice to hang out with,” she said.

The Sports Illustrated cover star later clarified that Reynolds is “a good actor. He can act funny, but he isn’t funny. Maybe he can get to be funny again.”

“I’m going to get in trouble,” she quipped. “He’s my neighbor.”

Big yikes, you might not want to run into him for a couple of days but sadly, it’s too late, Reynolds confronted her in a much worse place… on X.

Taking to the social media platform, the 48-year-old hit back saying: “I’d disagree with her. But I tried that once. The woman is unexpectedly spry. She really closed the gap after a mile or so.”

One person who jokingly agreed with Stewart was none other than Reynolds’ buddy, Hugh Jackman who playfully tweeted: “Finally someone says it.”

Let’s just say, the internet was loving the drama.

“HUGH???? bahaha y’all are so messy,” wrote one user in response, while another added: “We all know Martha loves Hugh more.”

Someone pass me the popcorn!
