Froilan’s video comes with just a few details, leaving viewers guessing about the precise spot in the ocean where he decided to drop his GoPro into the water.

The footage starts off innocently enough with the camera submerged while the cruise ship was docked, showing a group of fish curiously investigating this new, strange object in their world. However, it’s the footage shot at night that has really gotten people talking.
Suddenly, out of the darkness, sharks begin to appear on camera. One shark quickly swims into the camera’s light and then darts away into the night.
Shortly after, a larger shark makes a calm entrance from the shadows, gliding past the camera and disappearing.Prepare to never want to enter the ocean again and watch the chilling footage below:

A YouTube viewer shared their reaction, saying:”The way I went from kicking my feet in the air at the cute fishies and thinking ‘maybe the ocean isn’t so scary after all’ in the day footage to blankly staring, terrified, at the night footage, further confirming my intense fear of the ocean.”

Another viewer chimed in: “This was way more interesting than I thought it would be.”Man there’s something primally terrifying about seeing a shark emerge from the darkness like that.”

The comments section filled with people expressing their newfound aversion to ocean swimming, favoring pool swimming instead to avoid such encounters.

One person commented: “For years I wondered why there were pools on a cruise ship when there was this great big body of water to swim in.”It’s videos like this that make me realize the importance of swimming in chlorine water.”

Another advised: “I would just like to point out the difference in marine life depending on the time of day.”If you ever find yourself on a cruise, do not take a bet and jump into the ocean at night, most sharks are nocturnal hunters and they are basically just waiting for you.”

In a related but more alarming incident in early of 2023, a video that went viral on X, formerly known as Twitter, showed a young man named Cameron Robbins, 18, jumping off a cruise ship in the Bahamas on a dare.

Tragically, he was attacked by sharks. This harrowing video has been viewed over 10 million times on X since June, and some people believe it captured the exact moment Cameron was dragged under by the sharks.

The incident occurred on May 24 at around 11:30 pm, near the Blackbeard’s Revenge sunset cruise ship, close to Nassau, Bahamas. On May 27, the United States Coast Guard, in cooperation with the Royal Bahamas Defence Force, announced that the search for Cameron had been called off, though his body was unfortunately never found.
