People have spotted a potentially significant detail in the eyes of Nancy Guthrie’s alleged kidnapper following the FBI’s release of the chilling footage.
The search for missing Nancy has now entered day 10, after the 84-year-old woman disappeared from her home in Tucson, Arizona, on January 31.
The President deployed some of the most highly-skilled FBI officers to work on the case, after personally ringing Savannah Guthrie, Nancy’s daughter, himself.
Savannah is the co-host of NBC’s Today show, which has contributed to the high-profile nature of the missing person case.
The TV host reportedly earns upwards of $8 million per year, which many have noted has now become a key detail.

Just days following Nancy’s disappearance, a ransom note demanding $6 million bitcoin for her return was issued to law enforcement and local media.
And now, the case has taken another chilling turn.
‘We will pay’
Guthrie and her family have issued numerous statements following the disappearance of their mom, including one released just three hours before the ransom deadline on Monday (February 9).
“We are at an hour of desperation,” Guthrie said on Instagram.
Joined by her siblings, Cameron and Annie, the TV star added: “We received your message and we understand.
“We beg you now to return our mother to us, so that we can celebrate with her.”

Speaking directly to the suspected abductor, Guthrie said: “This is the only way we will have peace. This is very valuable to us, and we will pay.”
The deadline passed with no proof of their mother still being kept alive – evidence the family demanded in order for them to deposit the money.
But the ransom note is yet to be verified by law enforcement, who Guthrie said are ‘working around the clock’ to bring her mom home.
Nancy Guthrie may require emergency medical attention
Adding to the family’s distress are concerns about Nancy’s health.
Officials say she has limited mobility, needs daily medication, and cannot leave her home without help, making it unlikely that she wandered off on her own.
Since her pacemaker and other devices were disconnected after she went missing, there is increasing concern for her safety while she remains unaccounted for.
There is growing concern that if Nancy is found alive, she may require emergency medical attention.

FBI release footage of Nancy’s kidnapping suspect
In an unprecedented update just yesterday evening (February 10), the FBI released footage of a masked figure – allegedly armed – in the dark of the night outside Nancy’s home.
In a conference, FBI director Kash Patel said: “The video was recovered from residual data located in backend systems.
“Working with our partners – as of this morning, law enforcement has uncovered these previously inaccessible new images showing an armed individual appearing to have tampered with the camera at Nancy Guthrie’s front door the morning of her disappearance.”
Significant detail in the footage
Following the release of the footage by the FBI, the clip has since circulated on social media, and users online have been quick to voice their theories about what might have happened to Nancy.
The black and white footage clearly shows a person wearing a balaclava and seemingly up to no good outside of the 84-year-old’s house.
But some believe that law enforcement might not actually be looking for a man at this stage, as many people may have expected.

In a shocking twist, many online suspect that the alleged kidnapper is actually a woman.
“Arched eyebrows. I would say female,” one said on X (formerly Twitter).
Another added: “Eyes look like a woman’s eyes to me.”
“Sure that’s not a woman?” a third questioned.
While it’s currently not clear what gender the person in the footage is, others have theorized that the clip suggests it may actually be a man.
Some have speculated that the suspect might even have a mustache, while others have likened the suspect’s walk to that of a male.
The FBI is offering a $50,000 reward for anyone with information that could help in the search.
