The FBI has released newly recovered images from a camera at Nancy Guthrie’s home that shows a masked individual who appears to be armed.
According to the FBI, the images capture a person tampering with the front-door camera at Guthrie’s Arizona residence on the morning she disappeared. The images were posted on X by FBI Director Kash Patel.
Patel said investigators from the FBI and the Pima County Sheriff’s Department have spent the past eight days working with private-sector partners to retrieve video and images that were lost, corrupted, or otherwise inaccessible.

The images were ultimately recovered from residual data stored in backend systems, Patel said.

Authorities believe Nancy Guthrie was taken against her will from her house just outside Tucson. She was last seen there on Jan. 31 and reported missing the next day after not attending church. DNA tests showed blood on Nancy Guthrie’s front porch was a match to her, and a doorbell camera was disconnected in the early hours of Sunday morning, the sheriff has said.
Guthrie posted the images to her Instagram account, saying in the caption that she believes her mother is still alive.
