Nancy’s daughter, Savannah, is the co-anchor of NBC’s TODAY show, and reportedly earns an $8 million annual salary.

Authorities have said they are now investigating an alleged ransom note, and believe the elderly mom was taken against her will.

Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance

The alarm was first raised when the Nancy failed to appear at her regular Sunday church service, something family members say was entirely out of character.

By late morning, relatives went to her home to conduct a welfare check and soon contacted emergency responders.

And when the team arrived, their concern swiftly shifted to suspicion.

Law enforcement officials later confirmed the case was being treated as far more than a missing-person incident.

During a public briefing, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos outlines that investigators strongly believe Nancy was forcibly taken against her will.

President Donald Trump speaks out

It’s been reported that the President himself has reached to out to Savannah and her family in recent days, and he released a statement of his own on Truth Social.

Users online have speculated that this could be key evidence that she was kidnapped for money.

Nanos also said the sheriff’s office had received a copy of a ransom note, and was working with the FBI to authenticate it.
