Shocking Scene in Chicago!
A Democratic congressional candidate was thrown to the ground by an ICE agent after she tried to block an official vehicle outside the Broadview processing center.
Kat Abughazaleh, a former journalist running in Illinois’ 9th District, sat in the roadway to stop an ICE transport vehicle. Video shows an ICE agent forcefully removing her — tossing her several feet away from the van.
Abughazaleh later claimed the move violated her First Amendment rights, calling it an attack on free speech and peaceful protest.
But critics argue that blocking a government vehicle isn’t protected speech — it’s interference with law enforcement duties. Supporters, however, say her act was a non-violent demonstration against ICE policies.
This clash highlights America’s deep divide over immigration enforcement, free speech, and the limits of protest.
