Charlie Kirk’s final text message before he was shot dead has been revealed.
The MAGA activist was shot dead on Wednesday evening (September 10), at his own university campus debating event in Utah.
Kirk, an influential Trump ally, set up Turning Point USA, an organisation that tours university campuses to debate with young people, at the age of 18.
But it was at one of these very events that the 31-year-old lost his life.
Footage of the brutal attack has circulated on X, formerly Twitter, depicting the moment a loud bang was heard.
Kirk was violently struck in the neck before collapsing in his chair, and blood was seen pouring from the wound.

The right-wing activist was taking questions from audience members prior to his death, and was discussing gun violence at the time of the shooting.
Kirk was rushed to a local hospital following the violent shooting, but it was later confirmed by President Trump that the gunshot was fatal.
In a statement, he said: “The great, and even legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead.
“No one understood or had the heart of the youth in the United States of America better than Charlie.
“He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us.
“Melania and my sympathies go out to his beautiful wife Erika, and family.
“Charlie, we love you!”

Following his death, Kirk’s final text message prior to his assassination has been revealed.
Republican Senator Mike Lee of Utah, revealed the final text exchange between him and Kirk just hours prior to the shooting.
Yesterday (September 11), Sen. Mike Lee wrote on X: “This is Charlie’s last text to me yesterday as he was heading to his event at UVU.
“So tragic.”
The text messages from Kirk read: “Thank you so much. Just landed.
“Event I think is going to be a win.”

Kirk leaves behind his wife, Erika Lane, 36, and their two young children, who were all present at the event on Wednesday.
They witnessed the father-of-two utter his final words, before his security team rushed in an attempt to save his life.

The couple got married in 2021, after meeting three years earlier in 2018.
A manhunt to locate and arrest the suspect is still ongoing, despite the FBI locating the alleged weapon used in the shooting, as well as ‘palm prints and forearm imprints’ which have been taken to the laboratory for analysis.
They have released numerous pictures of a ‘person of interest’ that they believe is involved, and note that the shooter was of ‘college age.’
