A photo of First Lady Melania Trump from 2018 — taken during French President Emmanuel Macron’s state visit to Washington — has recently resurfaced online, drawing attention for a reason that has nothing to do with politics.
Instead, social media users have zeroed in on one particular detail: Melania’s backside.

Over the years, Melania Trump has faced plenty of speculation about her appearance, from her fashion choices to persistent rumors about whether she has undergone cosmetic procedures.
The fascination with her looks has continued even as she has remained largely private about her personal life.
One question that has repeatedly made headlines is whether Melania has ever had plastic surgery or cosmetic treatments to maintain her youthful appearance.
The former supermodel addressed those rumors in a 2016 interview with GQ, firmly denying that she had undergone cosmetic procedures.
“I didn’t make any changes… I live a healthy life, I take care of my skin and my body,” she said.
Melania also spoke openly about her views on cosmetic injections, adding:
“I’m against Botox, I’m against injections; I think it’s damaging your face, damaging your nerves. It’s all me. I will age gracefully, as my mom does.”
Now, a photo taken years ago has resurfaced online — and it’s once again fueling speculation about her appearance.
The photo shows Melania Trump standing alongside French First Lady Brigitte Macron, with both women dressed in elegant all-white ensembles. The image was taken at the White House in 2018, during Brigitte and French President Emmanuel Macron’s three-day official visit to Washington while Donald Trump was president.
Standing side by side in their coordinated outfits, the two first ladies appeared composed, offering little more than subtle smiles for the cameras.
But online, attention quickly shifted away from the diplomatic occasion — and toward Melania’s figure.
“Wait… she been hiding that,” one commenter wrote.
## Quickly spiraled
The discussion soon became more pointed, with some social media users making blunt claims about Melania’s appearance and speculating about possible cosmetic procedures.
“One is a ‘golddigger’ who paid for b*tt implants. The other is a classy French woman whose husband is Prime Minister,” one person claimed.
Others joined in with their own jokes and speculation.
“I think this means you develop an a** when you’re married to one,” another commenter wrote.
“A fake a** on Melania. All surgery,” someone else alleged.
“One has a peach and one has pancakes,” another person quipped.
The comments quickly turned the resurfaced image into another round of online debate over Melania’s appearance.
But not everyone was on board with the sudden obsession.
“Different women have different bodies. Pretty shocking, right?” one user replied, slamming the judgmental tone.
“She can’t even open a window…”
Back when the original photo was taken, Brigitte Macron gave an interview to French outlet Le Monde where she shed light on Melania’s mysterious public persona.
“She can’t even open a window at the White House. She can’t go outside,” Brigitte said. “She’s much more constrained than I am. I go out every day in Paris.”
Still, Brigitte described Melania as “really fun,” saying, “We have the same sense of humour. We laugh a lot together.” Despite Melania’s cold public appearance, Brigitte insisted it’s more about caution than aloofness:

Still, even in silence, Melania seems to dominate the headlines.
“Can’t y’all ever just let women exist in peace?” one commenter wrote — perhaps summing up the whole saga best.
