Travis Kelce reflected on his and Taylor Swift’s August 2025 engagement during the first episode of New Heights recorded since the couple officially tied the knot.
Looking back on the Aug. 13 episode, which he recorded with his brother, Jason Kelce, and his future wife just hours before popping the question, Travis said it is one “I’ll remember forever.”
“Starting the season with Taylor was pretty epic,” he said. “The whole time we were recording, I was thinking, ‘I’m going to ask this woman to marry me as soon as we’re done here.’”
Notably, however, Travis did not mention the couple’s wedding at Madison Square Garden. The podcast is now set to go on hiatus until Sept. 2.
Travis and Swift tied the knot at the iconic New York City venue on July 3 in front of more than 1,000 family members, friends and celebrity guests.
Actor Adam Sandler officiated the ceremony, during which the couple’s heartfelt vows reportedly left many of their A-list guests in tears.
According to reports, Swift incorporated singing into her vows, while one particularly heartfelt exchange between the newlyweds left many attendees visibly moved, an insider told NBC News in the days following the wedding.
The source added that it was actually Travis who became more emotional during the ceremony.
“You would think the bride would be the one crying more,” the insider said, “but it was Travis.”
“Taylor looked tearful during a part in the vows where he promised to protect her forever,” the insider told the outlet.
Rather than choosing a traditional wedding party, the couple honored two of the most important people in their lives. Taylor’s brother, Austin Swift, served as her “Man of Honor,” while Travis’ brother, Jason Kelce, stood beside him as best man.
Taylor’s longtime publicist, Tree Paine, also confirmed to Page Six that the bride and groom both wore custom Christian Dior Haute Couture designs created by Jonathan Anderson for the ceremony.
Following the ceremony, guests made their way to an extravagant wedding reception that reportedly featured a luxury raffle with prizes including Chanel and Dior Saddle bags, as well as Cartier watches.
Taylor and Travis, both 36, also added a personal touch to the celebration by displaying a restored 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible inside the venue. The classic car featured a custom license plate reading “JST&T MRD,” according to footage obtained by Page Six.
As Page Six previously reported, the couple’s wedding festivities began with a cocktail hour at 4 p.m. on Madison Square Garden’s sixth-floor concourse, with guests arriving from 3:30 p.m.
The ceremony followed at 5:30 p.m. on the arena floor before the celebration continued late into the night, with A-list guests reportedly partying until the early hours of the morning.
Page Six also exclusively reported that the couple had already legally married in a private ceremony before celebrating with family, friends and celebrity guests at their lavish wedding reception.
