Is this what y’all voted for?
Because from where I’m standing, it looks like we got measles outbreaks, no accountability, endless grifting, gas prices that still make you flinch, healthcare costs climbing like they’re auditioning for the moon, screwworms making headlines, salmonella in the eggs, parasites on the lettuce, and smoke in the skies like we’re all just supposed to breathe through it and smile. What a stunning era of competence this is.
And then there’s the part they don’t want to say out loud: innocent people being hunted in the streets, families living in fear, communities being terrorized, and the usual parade of cruelty dressed up as policy. This is what passes for strength now? This is the “greatness” we were sold? Give me a break.
Every single day it feels like regular people are being thrown under the bus so the rich and powerful can keep looting the place. They promised they’d fix things. They promised they’d make life better for working people. They promised safety, prosperity, and some grand patriotic comeback. Instead, we got chaos, corruption, and a nonstop enrichment scheme for the billionaire class.
And let’s be real: it was never about everyday Americans. It was never about lowering costs, protecting health, or making life more secure for the people who actually keep this country running. It was about power. It was about profit. It was about stuffing pockets, rewarding donors, and making sure the people at the top stay comfortable while everybody else gets to deal with the fallout.
So no, this is not greatness. This is decline with a flag on it. This is greed with a slogan. This is cruelty with better branding.
And if this is their version of “making America great again,” then maybe the first honest thing they could do is admit they never meant America. They meant themselves.
