Donald Trump has continuously lashed out against former President Barack Obama, blaming him for all sorts of problems, including the issues with the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool. Now, Obama has responded, calling Trump\u2019s ongoing fixation with him an \u201cobsession.\u201d<\/p>\n

Former President Barack Obama is speaking out about Donald Trump \u2014 and his latest comments are turning heads. Donald Trump has bashed the former president, whom he calls by his full name, \u201cBarack Hussein Obama,\u201d for more than a decade, blaming him for all sorts of things.<\/p>\n

The former real estate mogul made headlines earlier this year, as the president\u2019s social media account posted a racist video depicting both Barack and his wife, Michelle, as apes.<\/p>\n

The issues with the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool have also brought Obama back into the mix. Donald Trump, who claims it has been vandalized and is not taking any responsibility for it himself, even said it was, you guessed it, Barack Obama\u2019s fault.<\/p>\n

\u201cBarack Hussein Obama. Have you ever heard of him?\u201d Donald Trump told reporters when asked about the current timeline and costs of the pool.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe spent two years and over $100 million on trying to fix it,\u201d Trump claimed while referring to Obama\u2019s $34 million, two-year renovation of the monument that was completed in 2012, per The Associated Press reports. \u201cYou know what happened to it? Never even opened.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nBarack Obama has tried to stay out of the whole Trump criticism saga. However, now, he has broken his silence.<\/p>\n

During a recent podcast appearance on All the Smoke with former NBA player Matt Barnes, the host told Obama that Trump seemed \u201cvery fascinated with you and your family.\u201d Although he didn\u2019t mention Trump by name, it was clear who they were talking to.<\/p>\n

Barnes then praised Obama for meeting Trump\u2019s \u201cnegativity and racism with class\u201d before asking him if Obama ever asked if Obama ever wants to \u201ccuss his a\u2013 out sometimes?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe thing about it is\u2026Look, you\u2019ve got to ask him what it is,\u201d Obama said before Barnes added, \u201cThe obsession.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe obsession,\u201d Obama continued. \u201cI obviously have a room in his head, a suite in his head.\u201d<\/p>\n

Obama joked that he lives \u201crent-free\u201d in Trump\u2019s head, adding that he has a \u201csuite\u201d in the president\u2019s mind. He also stated that the president\u2019s repeated references to him say more about Trump than about any political disagreement.<\/p>\n

\nFurther, reflecting on his own presidential terms, Barack Obama said that, for example, thinking about former President George W. Bush, whom he succeeded, was \u201cthe last thing I had time to worry about.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re gone,\u201d the former president continued, referring to his predecessors. \u201cI\u2019ve got work to do. The idea that I\u2019d be worrying about somebody who came before and me trying to measure like, \u2018what\u2019s he done today?\u2019 Constantly worrying about that is a strange thing to me. It shows me somebody who is not focused on the American people and the job they\u2019re supposed to do.\u201d<\/p>\n
