According to People, Taylor Swift, 36, and Travis Kelce\u2019s wedding celebrations are expected to unfold over several days at New York City\u2019s Madison Square Garden, with a rehearsal dinner kicking things off before a larger celebration for family and friends.<\/p>\n
Ahead of the ceremony, a source familiar with the preparations offered a glimpse of what guests can expect inside the venue.<\/p>\n
\u201c[There\u2019s] not a castle, but it looks very special. They have grass, carpets, canopies and it looks like a place where you\u2019d get married. There\u2019s a stage set up but it\u2019s special,\u201d the insider told People.<\/p>\n
Mamdani\u2019s advice to New Yorkers
\nThe festivities \u2013 expected to attract thousands of Swifties to the streets \u2013 will also coincide with one of New York City\u2019s hottest weekends in years, making the venue a topic of discussion during Mayor Zohran Mamdani\u2019s June 30 press conference.<\/p>\n
Asked about the wedding and whether it could affect traffic or lead to street closures, the mayor instead encouraged New Yorkers to stay out of the heat.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy recommendation to all New Yorkers is to stay inside and stay cool,\u201d Mamdani said. \u201cAnd if you happen to be getting married at Madison Square Garden, you will be staying inside and you will be staying cool. And I think it\u2019s a good example to set for the city at large.\u201d<\/p>\n
What\u2019s on the menu?
\nAs anticipation builds ahead of the ceremony, fans are also getting an early glimpse of what could be served at the celebration.<\/p>\n
According to Page Six, trucks were seen delivering food and supplies to MSG in the days leading up to the wedding, offering clues about the menu awaiting guests.<\/p>\n
Among the items unloaded were boxes labeled as lobster meat, along with several varieties of chicken, including breasts, legs, boneless cuts and blackened chicken.<\/p>\n
The deliveries also included French fries, thick-cut onion rings and fresh ingredients such as romaine lettuce, red and orange peppers, eggs, whole milk and heavy whipping cream.<\/p>\n
One delivery attracted even more attention when a Krispy Kreme van reportedly arrived outside the venue. While it\u2019s unclear whether the doughnuts are destined for the wedding itself or the nearby Krispy Kreme store, the sight quickly fueled speculation online.<\/p>\n
Taylor Kelce?
\nWhile the wedding itself has captured plenty of attention, another reported detail has fans talking just as much. According to the Daily Mail, citing sources close to the couple, the pop queen plans to take Kelce\u2019s last name after the ceremony while continuing to use Taylor Swift professionally.<\/p>\n
\u201cProfessionally, she\u2019ll always be Taylor Swift. The name has become one of the biggest brands in entertainment, and there\u2019s really no reason to change that,\u201d an insider told the outlet.<\/p>\n
The source said the decision reflects how the \u201cLove Story\u201d singer separates her public career from her private life: \u201cPersonally, it\u2019s a different story,\u201d the insider said. \u201cTaylor is very traditional, and when it comes to marriage, she\u2019d love to take Travis\u2019 last name.\u201d<\/p>\n
