The chef\u2019s new Netflix documentary<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Gordon Ramsay\u2019s new Netflix series,\u00a0Becoming Gordon Ramsay<\/em>, released on February 18, 2026.<\/p>\n

The show follows the 59-year old chef as he opens five new restaurants in London, on the top floors of 22 Bishopsgate.<\/p>\n

The challenge? Ramsay has to open them all\u00a0at the same time<\/em>.<\/p>\n

He describes it as his most ambitious project ever, saying that it is \u2018high risk, high reward\u2019 and \u2018if it fails\u2026I\u2019m f***ed.\u2019<\/p>\n

The six-part documentary caused a lot of controversy and currently has a \u2018rotten\u2019 56% on Rotten Tomatoes.<\/p>\n

The main critics came from\u00a0Mumsnet, where user paloma7\u00a0didn\u2019t hold back.<\/p>\n

\u201cFfs! There is a whole dead baby suckling pig on a plat,\u201d she wrote. \u201cThey are talking about making this a restaurant feature, requiring two chefs who carve it at your table.<\/p>\n

\u201cAIBU to think this is obscene? Yes, I\u2019m vegetarian, but I think even most meat eaters would balk at this? If I were in his restaurant and that was going at the the next table, I would leave. Wtf is wrong with humans?\u201d<\/p>\n

While some people agreed, others told her to \u2018just avert her eyes if she\u2019s offended\u2019.<\/p>\n

One user commented: \u201cMost carnivores are aware of where their meat comes from. I think you\u2019re upset because you\u2019re a vegetarian. That\u2019s ok, each other own.\u201d<\/p>\n

While the multi-Michelin star chef is no stranger to controversy and dividing opinion, everyone came together in his comment section after he shared the heartbreaking diagnosis.<\/p>\n

Gordon Ramsay\u2019s surgery and recovery<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The 59-year-old revealed that he had been diagnosed with skin cancer earlier in the year, and had an operation under his ear to remove the basal cell carcinoma \u2013 a type of non-melanoma skin cancer.<\/p>\n

He captioned the post: \u201cGrateful and so appreciative for the incredible team at The Skin Associates and their fast reactive work on removing this Basal Cell Carcinoma.<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you! Please don\u2019t forget your sunscreen this weekend.<\/p>\n

\u201cI promise you it\u2019s not a face lift! I\u2019d need a refund.\u201d<\/p>\n

The TV personality\u2019s daughter, Holly Ramsay, wrote: \u201cLove you dad.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cancer Research also left a comment under the post, which read: \u201cGlad to hear you\u2019re doing well, Gordon, and thanks for raising awareness of how important it is to stay safe in the sun.<\/p>\n

\u201cSeek shade, cover up, and apply sunscreen regularly and generously.\u201d<\/p>\n

TV judge Robert Rinder also posted a heart emoji.<\/p>\n

What is basal cell carcinoma?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Basal cell carcinoma (BCC) is the most common form of skin cancer and the most occurring cancer globally.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a type of non-melanoma skin cancer that starts in the top layer of the skin, typically arising from sun-exposed areas.<\/p>\n

The main cause is UV light, but other risk factors include older age, having pale skin, and having had skin cancer in the past.<\/p>\n

BCC symptoms and prevention<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The main symptoms include a growth on the skin, most commonly found on body parts that are more exposed to the sun, such as the face, neck, and hands, as well as new or changing spots, and sores that don\u2019t heal, as per the\u00a0Cleveland Clinic.<\/p>\n

To reduce the risk, it\u2019s recommended to find shade where possible, apply sunscreen regularly, and be generally careful in the sun.<\/p>\n
