John and Jackson have had music careers that other artists could only dream of and on occasion, their lives intertwined.<\/p>\n

In his 2019 memoir \u2018Me,\u2019 the \u2018I\u2019m Still Standing\u2019 singer, 77, made shocking comments regarding the King of Pop, who died in 2009 aged 50.<\/p>\n

In an astonishing excerpt, obtained by\u00a0Radar Online, John revealed that he had known Jackson \u2018since he was 13 or 14\u2019 and the singer was \u2018the most adorable kid you could imagine.\u2019<\/p>\n

He claims this changed when Jackson began hiding from reality as his mental health worsened, particularly in the later years of his life.<\/p>\n

Alluding to Jackson having a painkiller addiction, John questioned \u2018what prescription drugs he was being pumped full of.\u2019<\/p>\n

The \u2018Rocket Man\u2019 singer concluded that by the 2000s, Jackson had \u2018totally lost his marbles.\u2019<\/p>\n

Yet John also insists Jackson\u2019s troubles began long before this.<\/p>\n

On one occasion, in the \u201990s, John said he and the \u2018Billie Jean\u2019 singer were having lunch when he noted the pop icon appeared sick, donned in a face of makeup and plaster.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe poor guy looked awful, really frail and ill,\u201d John claimed.<\/p>\n

The \u2018Rocket Man\u2019 singer said the lunch took a turn for the worse when Jackson disappeared from the table \u2018without a word.\u2019<\/p>\n

John alleges Jackson was later found in the cottage of John\u2019s housekeeper, \u2018quietly playing games\u2019 with her 11-year-old son.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere in the memoir, John summarized his thoughts of Jackson, claiming: \u201cHe was genuinely mentally ill, a disturbing person to be around.\u201d<\/p>\n

Although Jackson has millions of fans worldwide, his legacy suffered following allegations made in the 2019 documentary\u00a0Leaving Neverland<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The doc, directed and produced by Dan Reed, focuses on Wade Robson and James Safechuck, who allege they were s**ually abused as children by Jackson.<\/p>\n

Following the release of\u00a0Leaving Neverland<\/em>, the Jackson family sat down with Gayle King on\u00a0CBS This Morning<\/em>\u00a0and responded to the allegations that the \u2018Thriller\u2019 singer s**ually abused young children at his Neverland Ranch.<\/p>\n

The Jackson family claims Robson and Safechuck came forward for money.<\/p>\n

The singer\u2019s brother, Marlon Jackson, stated: \u201cI want them to understand and know that this documentary is not telling the truth. There has not been not one piece of evidence that corroborates their story.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jackson died on June 25, 2009, due to a lethal combination of prescription drugs.<\/p>\n

The Los Angeles coroner\u2019s office said the singer died due to acute propofol intoxication, with benzodiazepine effect being cited as another condition contributing to his death, according to\u00a0ABC News.<\/p>\n

The coroner also ruled Jackson\u2019s manner of death to be homicide.<\/p>\n

Jackson\u2019s personal doctor, Conrad Murray, was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in 2011. He served half of his four-year prison sentence, reports\u00a0People.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
