The public reaction to\u00a0Karmelo Anthony\u2019s guilty verdict\u00a0on Tuesday is garnering a shock wave of responses online; people are either supporting the jury\u2019s decision or criticizing it, in support of Austin Metcalf\u2019s killer.<\/p>\n

Anthony was\u00a0charged, tried and ultimately convicted\u00a0of murder for stabbing and killing 17-year-old Metcalf at a high school track meet in April 2025. He was sentenced to 35 years behind bars.<\/p>\n

Anthony, who is now 19 years old, stabbed Metcalf in the chest during an altercation between two teens near a team tent at Kuykendall Stadium in Frisco, Texas.<\/p>\n
