The pathologist also noted that certain organs had already been removed during the original state autopsy, limiting the ability to determine whether drowning played a role in his death.<\/p>\n<div id=\"newsner-915afb380751561bc9e4dc4714939e49\" class=\"newsner-915afb380751561bc9e4dc4714939e49 newsner-incide_content_once\"><\/div>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Toxicology results and the official state autopsy have not yet been released.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wells\u00a0traveled to Horn Island with a group of friends on July 4.\u00a0But while the rest of the group returned home, Wells did not. His mother Christine Wonsley reported him missing after the holiday, and posted a public plea for help that quickly spread across social media.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On Monday July 6, a body was found on the island. The following day, Wonsley confirmed on\u00a0Facebook\u00a0that it was her son. Witnesses said he was \u201ctalking to a girl\u201d before his disappearance.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While the investigation continues, officials do not suspect foul play was involved at the moment.
