This year\u2019s Golden Globes had it all \u2014 Jennifer Lawrence\u2019s daring\u00a0\u201cnaked dress,\u201d\u00a0Sean Penn\u2019s smoking habit, Leonardo DiCaprio\u2019s hand gestures and playful expressions\u2026 and, of course, Jennifer Lopez\u2019s unforgettable gown.<\/p>\n

The pop icon and actress arrived at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills wearing a jaw-dropping gown by Jean-Louis Scherrer for Stephane Rolland. This marked her first appearance at the awards show since her split from ex-husband\u00a0Ben Affleck, and she certainly didn\u2019t go unnoticed.<\/p>\n

The dress shimmered with brown lace and glitter, hugging her figure before flaring into a dramatic tulle mermaid hem that skimmed the floor.<\/p>\n

Her hair was styled in a sleek French twist with a soft side bang, and her bronzed makeup gave her a sharply contoured glow that left some fans scratching their heads. Accessories included morganite and diamond earrings, a diamond ring, and a coordinating brown clutch.<\/p>\n

Unexpected color choice<\/h2>\n

The reactions online were immediate, and as always, mixed.<\/p>\n

\u201cLooks like fish in the sea,\u201d one Instagram user joked.<\/p>\n

Another commented, \u201cThe dress is pretty till you get to the bottom part, not sure why all that lace sticking out, like a flared skirt, or slip.\u201d<\/p>\n

Some celebrated the unexpected color choice: \u201cLove the dress. Her hair looks beautiful. It\u2019s rare to see her in that color, she should wear it more often.\u201d<\/p>\n

But her makeup, especially the heavy bronzer, became a hot topic.<\/p>\n

Her earrings were from Sabyasachi Jewels. According to the brand\u2019s Instagram, J.Lo\u2019s statement earrings were \u201ccrafted in 18K gold with morganite and brilliant cut EF VVS VS diamonds.\u201d They were complemented by \u201ca statement ring crafted in 18K gold with tourmaline and brilliant cut EF VVS VS diamonds.\u201d<\/p>\n

More attention-grabbing outfits<\/h2>\n

At 56, JLo is no stranger to bold, attention-grabbing outfits.<\/p>\n

Just a month earlier, she caused a stir at a school play for her daughter Emme Mu\u00f1iz, sharing the event with Ben Affleck\u2019s daughter Fin.<\/p>\n

Grainy photos showed Ben in a blue suit with his son, Sam, and Jennifer Garner, while Lopez chatted briefly with young Sam near the school entrance.<\/p>\n

The two stars kept their distance all night, but social media\u2019s focus wasn\u2019t the interaction \u2014it was JLo\u2019s daring outfit.<\/p>\n

She wore a beige jacket left open at the front, showing a deep neckline and a peek of black lace underneath.<\/p>\n
