Following that, a hypothetical scenario in which Trump runs against, for example, Barack Obama, could become a reality. So who would win? An AI has given us the answer.<\/strong><\/p>\n<div id=\"newsner-1937263079\" class=\"newsner-after_first_paragraph\">\n<div id=\"intext_187102_1_wrapper\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That any president would run for a third presidential term has been unthinkable for centuries. However, with Donald Trump, that has changed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The president has opened for running for a third term. In October, he said he would \u201clove to run,\u201d and when reporters asked whether he was ruling out the idea, he answered, \u201cAm I not ruling it out? I mean, you\u2019ll have to tell me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meanwhile, Trump\u2019s former chief strategist, Steve Bannon, has stated that he supports Trump running for president again. He told\u00a0The Economist\u00a0that there already is a\u201dplan\u201d to get around the 22nd Amendment. But what that plan looks like has not been revealed. One popular YouTube Channel called\u00a0<em>I Ask AI<\/em>\u00a0has raised the hypothetical question of whether Donald Trump could, legally, run again in 2008.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-ai-reveals-who-would-win-if-trump-would-run-against-obama-in-2028\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">AI reveals who would win if Trump would run against Obama in 2028<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Imagine for a moment that the rules of American politics changed \u2014 and that a third presidential term suddenly became possible. That\u2019s exactly the thought experiment a popular YouTube channel decided to run using artificial intelligence.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The host explained, \u201cSo for the next 15 minutes, forget all about the 22nd Amendment. Just put it aside or somewhere,\u201d before diving into the scenario.<\/p>\n<div id=\"newsner-1920260104\" class=\"newsner-article_inside_content\">\n<div id=\"intext_187102_2_wrapper\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"newsner-93bdd39b89c7adb3cca1e8394919a28b\" class=\"newsner-93bdd39b89c7adb3cca1e8394919a28b newsner-amp_article_inside_content\"><\/div>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this imagined contest, the conversation circled almost immediately to one name whenever someone mentions Trump\u2019s potential third shot at the presidency: Former President Barack Obama.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The host remarked that \u201cevery time Trump talks about a third term, Barack Obama\u2019s name comes up instantly,\u201d turning the pair into the spotlight of this theoretical rematch.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the AI, an Obama campaign would frame itself almost entirely in opposition to Trump\u2019s legacy. (Photo by Spencer Platt\/Getty Images)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The video continued by arguing that, in a nation worn down by scandals, protests, and broad division, traditional advantages for incumbents might disappear.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-fairly-confident\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u201cFairly confident\u201d<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In that context, the AI confidently forecast a win for Obama rather than a narrow contest.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIn that environment, I wouldn\u2019t see this as razor thin. I\u2019d lean toward a fairly confident Obama win,\u201d the AI model concluded.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Of course, this remains purely hypothetical. Under the current legal framework Enshrined in the 22nd Amendment, no one, including Trump or Obama, can be elected president more than twice.
