Former President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama have often been seen as the complete opposite of Donald and Melania Trump. Now, the former first lady has broken her silence on MAGA supporters, sharing a blunt verdict on the future.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Former President Barack Obama and First Lady Barack Obama have done their eight years at the White House. Despite leaving many years ago, they have remained in the news, all thanks to Donald Trump.<\/p>\n

And just a few months ago, they were once again in the spotlight after President Trump shared an offensive video that included a clip depicting Obama and his wife, Michelle, as apes. It drew widespread criticism from both sides of the political aisle.<\/p>\n

In early May, Barack Obama, or \u201cBarack Hussein Obama\u201d Trump stubbornly continues to call him, finally spoke out about the horrific ape video.<\/p>\n

Donald Trump\u2019s attack on Barack Obama<\/h2>\n

Speaking with the New Yorker, the former president claimed he didn\u2019t necessarily view it as a personal attack. However, he felt differently about his family.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t take it personally. I mean, I\u2019m always offended when my wife and kids get dragged into things, because they didn\u2019t choose this\u2026 That\u2019s a line that even people whose politics I deeply reject, I would expect them to care about. I would never talk about somebody\u2019s family in that way,\u201d Barack Obama said.<\/p>\n

He continued by expressing concerns about Trump sharing videos generated by AI. Further, he said the Trump administration has treated war \u201clike a video game\u201d and shows \u201cexcrement dumped on ordinary citizens.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI mean, I\u2019m a fair target in the sense of, yeah, you can feel free to pick on me, because I\u2019m your own size,\u201d Obama added.<\/p>\n

Through the many controversies surrounding Trump and his MAGA supporters, Michelle Obama has stayed quiet.\u00a0However, now, while appearing\u00a0on the\u00a0Talk Easy With Sam Fragoso\u00a0<\/em>podcast, she broke the silence.<\/p>\n

Former First Lady Michelle Obama shares blunt verdict on MAGA supporters<\/h2>\n

The former first lady claimed that the Make America Great Again movement doesn\u2019t have to generalize the entire MAGA fan base.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Michelle stated she was \u201cdeeply, deeply disappointed\u201d by the 2024 election results, but argued that the outcome \u201chad as much to do with people\u2019s pain and confusion about where they are in their lives.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMany of the people who voted for my husband twice,\u201d\u00a0Michelle Obama\u00a0continued. \u201cAnd I know that that\u2019s how they feel. It\u2019s like, this isn\u2019t about anything other than just, we need something different.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added that people should be cautious when making blanket statements.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou can\u2019t just pigeonhole them and say \u2018you just don\u2019t care\u2019 and \u2018you\u2019re racist\u2019 or whatever you\u2019re thinking,\u201d she explained. \u201cThis is an act of \u2018I don\u2019t know what else to do\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n

As financial questions can have a huge influence on how one will vote and where one places on the political spectrum, Michelle Obama stated that when people \u201cdon\u2019t have a chance,\u201d it \u201cmakes you angry and it makes you susceptible to find someone to blame.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re good people\u201d<\/h2>\n

The former first lady added that it\u2019s crucial that future political leaders prioritize the middle and working classes.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s not me anymore, but I know those folks, and they\u2019re good people, and they don\u2019t have a way out, and that makes for bad choices,\u201d Michelle Obama said on the\u00a0Talk Easy With Sam Fragoso<\/em>\u00a0podcast.<\/p>\n
