Donald Trump has lashed out against another reporter.\u00a0This time, when interviewed by NBC journalist Kristen Welker on\u00a0Meet the Press<\/em>, the president stormed off after she\u00a0made a six-word claim about the California elections.<\/strong><\/p>\n

NBC journalist Kristen Welker\u2019s interview with President Donald Trump on\u00a0Meet the Press<\/em>\u00a0didn\u2019t end well: Trump abruptly left after she challenged his claim that California\u2019s voting was rigged as counting continued in the mayoral race.<\/p>\n

Trump claimed it was rigged as Democratic candidates reportedly received many votes through mail-in ballots. During the interview, Trump asserted both the current primary elections in California and the 2020 presidential election were \u201crigged.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump told Welker, \u201cIt\u2019s happening again right now in California. This is happening right now. It\u2019s four days.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s how they vote in California,\u201d Welker replied as Trump pointed to the state\u2019s unfinished ballot count as proof that something was off.<\/p>\n

When pressed for evidence on the California voting, Trump said, \u201cAll I have to do is look, and I listen,\u201d to which Welker responded, \u201cthat\u2019s not evidence.\u201d<\/p>\n

The situation quickly escalated as Trump grew frustrated and stormed off.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re crooked. Just like you\u2019re crooked,\u201d Trump said.<\/p>\n

Welker responded: \u201cTo be fair, I\u2019m not crooked. But let\u2019s continue.\u201d<\/p>\n

The president continued, \u201cYou\u2019re either crooked or you\u2019re stupid,\u201d and after another exchange said, \u201cLet\u2019s call it quits because I\u2019ve had enough. Thank you darling, have a good time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kirsten Welker tried to continue the interview, but Trump interrupted: \u201cI\u2019ve sat in the rain with you for an hour, on and off in the rain, and I\u2019ve given you enough time. You ought to straighten out your press, because you know what? A country can never be great with a dishonest press.\u201d<\/p>\n

The president then gestured to people behind the camera, stating, \u201cCome on, let\u2019s go\u201d, before standing up and walking off the set.<\/p>\n

Per the\u00a0BBC, Kristen Welker, shortly after the interview was broadcast, said, \u201cI spoke with President Trump on Saturday and we both acknowledged the complications during the interview posed by the rain.
