The singer made the revelation in her upcoming book Cher: The Memoir
Pop icon Cher has claimed another music legend stripped naked in front of her during a visit to the infamous Playboy Mansion.
The 78-year-old Goddess of Pop is gearing up to release her upcoming memoir, which will shed light on her six-decade career in the limelight.
Given Cher’s – real name Cherilyn Sarkisian – longevity in the spot light and ability to reinvent herself over the years, there’s no doubt the book will feature plenty of star-studded anecdotes.
And if the first teaser is anything to go by, the memoir is going to be an absolute page-turner.

Ahead of the release of Cher: The Memoir, Part One (yes, Cher’s life is so decorated that she needs a two-part memoir) the singer dished the dirt on an alleged visit to the Playboy mansion during the 1970s – which ended with another musical icon drunkenly stripping naked in front of her.
Hugh Hefner’s infamous mansion has dominated headlines over the years due to tales of debauchery occurring within its four walls.
Turns out the mansion had a pretty legendary status back in 1974 as well, when Cher ran into none other than John Lennon and his friend Harry Nilsson at a restaurant in Los Angeles – with the pair desperate to see the Playboy mansion.
The singer was heading over there for one of Hefner’s ‘movie nights’, which was much more relaxed than the infamous ‘drunken orgies’ the mansion was known for.
After learning that Lennon was ‘dying’ to see inside the house, Cher agreed to take the pair along with her – however she would soon realise the pair were much ‘drunker than I’d thought’ on the drive over.

After arriving at the mansion, Cher led the pair away from Hefner and outside to the mansion’s grotto – which is where the men opted to strip off and make their way into the pool.
“Giggling and falling over each other, John and Harry followed me out into the grounds,” Cher recalled in the memoir (via The Mirror).
“Sitting them down inside the infamous Grotto – it was like a huge cave that one end of the swimming pool went into – I went to find a drink and when I came back they were standing in the middle of the Grotto naked but still in the water, thank God.”
Calling the situation ‘not pretty’, the singer went on to recall how Lennon and Nilsson had threatened to wander around the mansion in the buff for the rest of the night.

“I was trying not to laugh,” she added. “It took me ages to get them back in their clothes. It was like herding drunks.”
We certainly look forward to seeing what other revelations come out in Cher’s two-part memoir.
