What can replace the void left by Game of Thrones? is an age-old question.Now, five years have passed since the popular HBO series ended, but it doesn’t seem like a long time.

Fans think they’ve discovered a much better show to fill the void left by Westeros in our life, so don’t worry.The finest aspect of it, too? You can truly get your teeth into it because it’s available on Netflix and spans five seasons, from 2015 to 2022.

Presenting The Last Kingdom, a television series akin to Game of Thrones that fans think has the potential to surpass the epic series.

In fact, some fans even wager that it is superior to all previous works set in the mythical region of Westeros.It was so well-liked when it first aired on BBC in the UK that Netflix made a movie based on it called The Last Kingdom: Seven Kings Must Die.

The Last Kingdom is set in Anglo-Saxon England during the last few years of the 9th and early 10th centuries, in contrast to Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon.As viking warlords arrive on the English coast, it discusses the battle between England and Denmark.

The show scored an incredible 8.5 on IMDb and garnered a good amount of praise on Twitter.One user shared the following on social media: “The Last Kingdom. Extremely captivating from its soundtrack to its staging in battle through history, everything in general is transmitted in an impressive way, this season has been really moving and for me it is one of the best series in history.”

One person replied: “Very captivating the plot, the music , the acting, the fight scenes nothing is neglected to bring forth an important historical saga on a grand scale but it’s also the little details which are telling.”“No character is ever completely forgotten, loved so many especially #uthred.”

People quickly began drawing comparisons between it and HBO’s blockbuster series.

Someone commented: “I love this whole Series. I have already watched 3x.”

“I can’t find any other series like Last Kingdom.”

Fans continued to pour in to cheer the show, racing to the platform.

One person wrote: “LOVED The Last Kingdom. So well done. Better than Game of Thrones hands down. The finish of the series was satisfying and true to each character’s arc.”

While another user posted: “Make no mistake this series as a whole is better than game of thrones imo. Game of thrones had some good seasons but the last few were poor, rushed or just boring.”

“There were some good individual episodes in that though.”

I don’t think The Last Kingdom achieves enough to surpass Game of Thrones in my opinion, but it is still an epic and a must-watch, so I think calling the show “boring” is a stretch. I personally loved the show.
