Wallace managed to sneak his way backstage, hoping for a chance to impress.

However, things didn’t turn out as he had hoped, as he later confessed in a tearful TikTok video. He said: “I’m 22, I do make $100,000 a year and that’s cool. I wanna act, I wanna do these things, I’m gonna break down right now.”

He continued, emotionally: “I don’t know what to do. I did come up here by myself, I do have family but we’re not the closest, and I don’t have really close friends.

“You know there’s millions of people trying to do what I wanna do. Just watch the clip.”

During his candid moment, Wallace acknowledged that he might not have been fully prepared, despite having quit his job to pursue this dream.

“Then why would I give you a job?” Paul responded, explaining that he wasn’t in a position to be a mentor. Paul did, however, offer some advice.

“Go make content, make stuff with your friends,” Paul suggested.

“I’m glad you quit your job, it takes balls to do that, but now you gotta activate.

“I’m not the guy directly. My team is [mimes something very small] – we’re locked.”

Paul also added: “Life isn’t about handouts, you’ve gotta work. If you really are serious about it, you should move to LA and just like you approached me, start making connections with every single person in LA.

“I’m serious, that’s it. I’ve always said, if you can talk to someone, you can make it in LA.”

YouTuber GunnarTV later updated his followers on Wallace’s journey in March of the following year.

He noted that Wallace had been trying to gain attention from various celebrities like Danny Duncan, Bryce Hall, and even Dr. Phil after being rejected by Paul.

GunnarTV advised Wallace: “My advice to Austin, who will probably watch this, is just make your own content for now.”

“You’re not anybody yet, people do not know you, and you should not be trying to make content that relies on somebody else who is an unwilling participant, because it’s needy, it’s annoying, and in some cases it’s illegal.

“Austin, I really do wish you the best. You seem passionate and I hope you stay positive, so please take my criticisms and jokes in stride, but also hear them out.”

“Wanting to be famous is not good enough – you need to also enjoy the content you’re making, because it’s all about the ride to the top. It’s all about the journey.”

It appears Wallace has heeded the advice from both GunnarTV and Paul, as he has since amassed nearly one million followers on TikTok by creating a significant amount of content on the platform.

He also has a YouTube channel where he describes himself as a ’23-year-old from Ohio here doing me, having fun and doing influencing’.
