Getting cheated on is a pretty awful experience. But before you even think about confronting the person, it’s really important to be sure about it.
A private investigator has recently shared a key action he often observes from male cheaters that might just give you that confirmation.
Some people, when they suspect their partner is cheating, might just take a shot in the dark, relying on gut instinct, and confront their partner directly, hoping for a confession.
Others, though, are more determined to get undeniable proof before they make any moves. That’s where private investigators step in.
One particular private investigator mentioned that, during his stakeouts on suspected male cheaters, he has noticed a consistent behavior they exhibit before meeting up with their mistress.
Connecticut PI Ray Ranno explained that while stakeouts can sometimes be pretty boring, they become much more interesting when he starts noticing certain tell-tale signs, allowing him to predict what’s going to happen next.
In a recent appearance on the Locked In with Ian Bick podcast earlier this month, Ranno shared some of his experiences.
He revealed, “If a guy’s going to pick up his sweetie on the side, he wants a clean car.”
According to Ranno, it’s almost a routine for these men to spruce up their cars before they head off to engage in their infidelity.
He went on to elaborate, “As soon as somebody goes to the car wash, I think ‘Ha ha, what’s next?’ It’s amazing how they do that. Women, not so much.
“Women don’t do it so much because they usually jump in the guy’s car. Men always want to drive. It’s very rare that I see a guy jump into a female’s car.”
Ranno also explained that after the couple meets, his real work of gathering evidence begins.
He quickly dismissed the old-fashioned stereotype of a private investigator in a fedora and massive trench coat, lurking around and snapping pictures from a car.
Instead, he unveiled some of the high-tech gadgets he uses to catch cheaters in the act.
Ranno pointed out that, while he does carry a long-lens camera for capturing photo and video evidence, he also uses a fake coffee cup equipped with a high-definition camera.
This clever tool allows him to follow and observe people right out in the open, without raising suspicion.
“If I go into a coffee place, or a supermarket, wherever I need to be, I just take the lid off, turn it on, put the cap on, and it looks like I’m walking around with a coffee. Meantime, I’m videotaping everything,” he said.
Once he’s gathered enough evidence, Ranno passes the videos and photos on to the client.
While this may not make everything “well” in the situation, it does mean that his job is done, leaving the client to decide the next steps.
