Morena Baccarin Hated Kissing Ryan Reynolds And Filming Two-Day Sex Scene With Him In Deadpool

There are plenty of Ryan Reynolds fans eager for any chance to give him a quick kiss, Morena Baccarin has acknowledged that even if Blake Lively were on board, the reality isn’t as glamorous as one might think.

To give Ryan Reynolds due credit, Morena Baccarin formed her opinions while he spent a significant amount of time in a latex suit portraying Deadpool, though it might still not appeal to everyone.

Both actors starred together in the original Deadpool film and its 2018 sequel, where Baccarin portrayed Vanessa, the protagonist’s girlfriend.

Their roles required them to get intimately involved, including in a densely packed montage of sex scenes featured in the first movie.

This montage depicted the on-screen couple celebrating various occasions with sex, each time dressed in outfits appropriate for the specific holiday or event.

Throughout the scene, they can be seen celebrating Christmas, Valentine’s Day, International Women’s Day, and other national holidays.

Baccarin revealed insights about this montage during an interview with Conan O’Brien in 2017.

“The film was really fun, minus the two days of sex scenes, it was wonderful, the whole experience,” she said.

Baccarin continued: “It took two days to shoot the sex scene, because I think it was us making sweet love for an entire calendar year.”

“So it was all the holidays, you know. So we dressed differently for every one.”

Even though filming two full days of intimate scenes would be taxing for anyone, Baccarin confessed she couldn’t even find enjoyment in scenes that involved just kissing.

In a 2018 interview with People magazine, Baccarin elaborated that Ryan Reynolds didn’t find Deadpool’s costume particularly enjoyable.

“I keep saying that kissing him in that mask is like kissing a giant latex condom,” she said.

“It basically just smells like rubber the entire time.”

That’s certainly not what you want to hear from someone you’re kissing, is it?

Nevertheless, Baccarin has remarked that her co-star made the entire experience tolerable through his professionalism.

“There’s a lot of laughing. And that stuff is always uncomfortable,” she told Collider in 2015.

“But, we made the best of it.”

Baccarin continued: “By the end of the day you’re like ‘Okay, where do you want me, how do you-?'”

“You’re like spreading your legs and you’re like whatever, it’s just, you get so used to each other.”
