Newly surfaced police bodycam footage has thrust a Miami Dolphins coach into controversy after an altercation with his girlfriend reportedly escalated into a physical confrontation. According to reports, the coach claimed the dispute spiraled out of control after tensions involving what he described as “nasty” WAGs — the partners of other players and staff — who he believed had been fueling drama behind the scenes. In the footage, officers can be heard questioning both parties as the situation unfolds, with the coach attempting to explain how the argument intensified before police arrived. Investigators are now reviewing the video closely after allegations surfaced that he briefly placed his hands around his girlfriend’s neck during the dispute.

Former Miami Dolphins assistant coach Ryan Crow told police that ‘nasty’ comments made by the significant others of his ex-colleagues sparked the heated dispute that led to his arrest last year.

Newly released bodycam footage from the Ft. Lauderdale Police Department shows Crow explaining that a ‘weird’ and ‘tight group’ of Dolphins wives triggered the confrontation.

The incident occurred just after midnight on August 29, after a 911 caller alleged Crow had gotten physical with a woman outside of a Florida apartment complex following a team-hosted party.

Crow, who was going through a divorce at the time, described the social circle as a ‘tight group’ involved in a ‘nasty world’ that his girlfriend had been introduced to.

‘The people I work with, their wives are really – it’s a tight group,’ Crow told officers. ‘And they’re kind of weird. And I’m going through a divorce – I just introduced [my girlfriend] into that world. It’s kind of like a nasty world.

‘She got introduced in it. I think they told her some stuff that really upset her. Don’t know what. Still working through that. And that’s kind of what triggered everything. That’s kind of what it was. Plus alcohol.’

As Crow revealed details of the story, officers interjected and joked that the ordeal sounded like an episode of ‘Real Housewives’.

Crow added: ‘With a bunch of alcohol’.

Later in the night, Crow’s girlfriend admitted to officers that her conversation with one of the wives at the event is what sparked the furious confrontation.

‘We were at the Dolphins work party,’ she said. ‘I was talking to one of the wives or whatever. [Crow] is still married, so we got to talking and this and that, and she was like, ‘I just want you to know, like, we’re not mad at you.’

‘She just went into a whole bunch of stuff.’

The woman said when she relayed the conversation to Crow, ‘he got really mad.’

‘He got, like, angry and he went, like, ‘What the f***?’,’ she said. ‘And he threw something, like, angrily or whatever. And I was like, ‘That’s not my fault. That’s kind of your fault because you were the one who told lies.’

While Crow insisted the altercation never turned physical, his girlfriend told officers at the scene that the coach had pushed her during the argument.

Back in September, a 911 call obtained by TMZ heard a witness accusing Crow of ‘choking’ a woman outside of an apartment complex before ‘slamming’ her upstairs.

In the footage, Crow's girlfriend said: 'He got, like, angry and he went, like, 'What the f***?'

‘A guy started choking his girl outside,’ the caller, who was not identified, told the 911 operator. ‘And then they went back inside upstairs to the floor and we heard him slam her.’

The witness noted that there were no weapons involved, describing the altercation as just ‘physical.’

‘He started choking her around 11:45,’ she added. ‘And then they went back upstairs and we can hear them fighting.’

Crow was arrested on a misdemeanor battery charge but prosecutors dropped the case in October after the victim became uncooperative and stated she did not want charges filed.

The decline memo noted there was ‘no reasonable likelihood of conviction,’ yet the professional fallout for the outside linebackers coach was immediate and severe.

Initially placed on administrative leave by the Dolphins – then coached by Mike McDaniel – Crow and the organization formally parted ways in December 2025.

Crow’s attorney, Michael A. Gottlieb, maintained on Tuesday that the incident was ‘overblown’ and ‘mischaracterized by onlookers’ whose perceptions became a false reality.

Gottlieb further argued that Crow was treated more severely by the Dolphins and the NFL than a player would have been under similar circumstances.
