Sky News presenter Rita Panahi launched a blistering attack on Sarah Ferguson following the release of the latest tranche of Epstein files. Emails between Sarah and the late convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein were made public by the Department of Justice, shedding further light on her relationship with the disgraced financier. Sky News Australia host Rita issued a scathing verdict of “grubby” Sarah and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor for continuing their relationship with Epstein after his conviction of child sex offences in 2008.
She said: “The latest Epstein document dump has cast former Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson and her ex-husband Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor as grubby and selfish and as a pair who knew of Epstein’s vile activities, yet continued to grow their relationship with him. So much of the communication that we’ve read is after he was convicted on some really serious and ugly charges.”
The presenter was joined by Carole Lieberman, who claimed that Epstein had the “ability to attract” rich and powerful people and that he kept compromising information on them to ensure they did not betray his trust.
Carol admitted she feels sympathy towards Andrew, 65, believing the removal of his titles and being forced out of Royal Lodge was “too much”.
She told Rita: “I kind of feel bad for Andrew because I think he was on the autism spectrum. He had this strange preoccupation with stuffed animals on his bed and other kinds of dolls and they had to be in specific kinds of places. Also he seemed socially awkward. Now his titles have been taken away and he’s been made to move, I think it’s a little too much.”
Rita immediately disagreed, highlighting Carol’s “far more charitable view” on Andrew, admitting she does “not feel sorry for him one bit”.

She said: “On two occasions she proposed to Jeffrey Epstein and it was after he was convicted the first time. Obviously it didn’t bother her too much.
“She has this pattern where she is attracted to men, not only for their accomplishments and having a lot of money, but also for what they will buy her, what they can offer her.”
After Carol confirmed that Epstein sent Sarah money when she struggled with debt, Rita concluded: “It seems to be a lot about money when it comes to these two, particularly about Fergie it seems.”
