New details are emerging relating to the death of Tommy Lee Jones’ daughter, Victoria Jones, after the 34-year-old was found deceased in the early hours of New Year’s Day.
Initial reports revealed that paramedics had responded to a call at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco at around 2:52am yesterday morning, with a spokesperson for the San Francisco Fire Department stating that “Bystanders were given instructions for CPR according to CAD records.”
As per new information from TMZ, Victoria’s body was initially found by another hotel guest just hours into 2026 – said guest reportedly mistook her for being passed out drunk.
The outlet say she was discovered on the 14th floor of the Fairmont by the aforementioned guest, while the Daily Mail claim that the guest then notified hotel staff.
When hotel workers arrived, however, it quickly became apparent that something was very wrong. With Victoria unresponsive, efforts to revive her began immediately.
A spokesperson for the San Francisco Police Department said: “On 1/1/26 at approximately 3:14 a.m., San Francisco Police officers responded to a hotel located on the 900 block of Mason street regarding a report of a deceased person.”

A source supposedly present at the scene told the Mail: “There were no signs of foul play, such as trauma to the body, and police did not find any drug paraphernalia on the scene. There were also no signs that Victoria may have taken her own life.”
Following in her father’s shadow, Victoria made her acting debut in 2002’s Men in Black II. She later appeared in One Tree Hill and in The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada, a film directed by her father that also involved her stepmother, Dawn Laurel-Jones, who served as the project’s stills photographer.
As per reports, Victoria had lived her life outside of the public spotlight in recent years, but had made some appearances alongside her father on various red carpets.
