A resurfaced viral video showing former Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide actor Tylor Chase appearing unhoused on the streets of Riverside, Calif., has sparked renewed concern and discussion online about the long-term challenges faced by former child stars.
The clip, which has garnered views after resurfacing on TikTok and X in recent days, contrasts Chase’s current appearance with his role as Martin Qwerly — the endlessly optimistic, fast-talking classmate on Nickelodeon’s hit series, which aired from 2004 to 2007. Multiple outlets, including New York Post and Decider, have confirmed the video features Chase during an interaction with influencer Citlalli Wilson (@lethallalli).
Chase, now 36, rose to fame as part of the ensemble cast alongside Devon Werkheiser, Lindsey Shaw, and Daniel Curtis Lee. After Ned’s Declassified ended, he appeared in smaller projects such as Everybody Hates Chris, the independent film Good Time Max and later did voice work for the video game L.A. Noire. He largely stepped away from acting in the 2010s.
