JD Vance’s wife Usha makes rare comment on marriage following public speculation – Horizonpress

Usha Vance has addressed recent speculation about the state of her marriage to Vice President JD Vance. The couple, who have been married since 2014 and share three children, faced rumors after Usha was photographed not wearing her wedding ring last month.

A spokesperson previously attributed the absence of the ring to the routines of motherhood, noting Usha “does a lot of dishes” and sometimes forgets it. Both Vances have since firmly dismissed any suggestion of marital trouble.

Usha told USA Today that people in public life often attempt to “read the tea leaves,” building stories from imagination. She expressed a preference for living in the reality of her marriage rather than in the surrounding “fever dreams.”

She directly addressed the ring incident, explaining it is simply a matter of routine. “Sometimes I’m wearing it and sometimes I’ve just been to the gym and showered and I’m not wearing it,” she stated casually.

The couple also recently responded to a photo that appeared to show JD shouting at Usha in a restaurant. JD humorously dismissed the image, joking about wearing an undershirt for public arguments.

Reflecting on their life before the vice presidency, Usha acknowledged mixed feelings, saying, “There are things that I miss and things that I’m excited to have moved on from.”

The Vances met at Yale Law School in 2010. JD has written that he “fell hard” for Usha, even telling her he loved her on their first date. They have both insisted their relationship remains strong.
