Yair Brachiyahu Discovers People 70-100 Have The Same Regret

A group of men and women aged between 70 and 100 have shared their biggest regret with Yair Brachiyahu – and it turns out, they all have the same answer.

Deciding how to live your life is pretty tricky stuff. And so many of us look to those older (and wiser) to offer us advice on how to spend our days.

And a TikTok channel has proven that men and women aged between 70 and 100 all seem to have the same biggest regret…

People have been left feeling emotional after finding out the news.

One person writes: “For the 1st time in my life at 71, I suddenly realize what life is all about, I’ve wasted my life!”

Another adds: “It’s true. The best part of anything – an experience, a thing, anything – is being able to share it with those that matter to you.”

A third emotionally pens: “I lost my parents before I had truly grown up, and I wish I could go back and show them more love.”

“Listening to elders’ advice is always powerful,” agrees another.

While another jokes: “I regret not labelling all my electronic cords and chargers!”

TikTok user Yair Brachiyahu has gone viral for his interviews with older members of society.

He asks them for their perspective on life, including the things they wish they’d known when they were younger.

People have been loving the wise and poignant clips, and even noticed a common thread emerging amongst the advice the interviewees would pass on to their younger selves.

One 79-year-old woman points out that although money ‘makes it easier’, it doesn’t ‘guarantee joy’.

Another man agrees, adding that ‘material goods’ and ‘more money than one really needs’ are not that important.

He continues: “As a younger person I think we tend to want to make a lot of money and acquire a lot of material things, have a big house, great car, all those things and, I realized that’s not what life is about.

“Life is about your relationships, love and being able to know what abundance really is and what enough means.”

Other videos echo this sentiment almost word-for-word,  saying ‘material things’ are not the most important thing about life.

“We live on a boat and we sold pretty much everything. We thought we would miss it, regret it, whatever – no!” one couple reveals.

Another participant adds: “We spent our youth trying to get bigger and bigger houses and nicer cars and all this kind of stuff, and a lot of that stuff now is meaningless.”

Many draw attention to ‘relationships, health [and] friends’ as what’s truly important.

Another says the ‘desire to have material possessions, to compete in that very artificial, empty world is a waste of time’.

“It’s useless and it’s very negative. And then [I’d tell him] to look for relationships,” he adds.

While another heartbreaking video details a man who has lost his wife and doesn’t have anyone special in his life anymore.

“I go places, do things and then I haven’t got anybody to tell about it,” he explains.
