John Travolta showcases the legendary moves we all know from ‘Grease’ – BLOG

Grease is a musical that everyone knows. Even if you haven’t watched it, you probably recognize some of the songs from that classic 70s film.

When teenage girls around the globe first saw a young Danny Zuko in his leather jacket, many hearts skipped a beat.

It was the summer of 1978 when this beloved movie hit the screens. Who could forget tough Danny falling for the sweet Sandy Olsson from Australia, surrounded by the pink ladies and some amazing dance routines.

When summer ended, Sandy went back to Australia, and they thought they would never see each other again…until Sandy appeared at a football game and announced she was a new student at his school!

Being the cool guy he was, he pretended their summer romance didn’t happen, but soon he couldn’t resist the beautiful Sandy.

It feels like just yesterday that I watched the film, and the songs (and dance moves) are still vivid in my memory. And it seems I’m not alone in this.

John Travolta, who portrayed Danny all those years ago, appeared on “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon” to celebrate 40 years since Grease was released.

Travolta shared how one of the dance sequences from Grease came to be. “I grew up with all these fun dances,” he told Fallon.

“In Grease, they needed a dance for ‘You’re the one that I want’ at the end. I suggested, ‘we used to do the four corners, why not do that?’ and the choreographer said, ‘show it to me.’”

Fallon was curious, and as the audience cheered him on, he asked Travolta if he would demonstrate it.

With live Grease music playing, hearts began to flutter once more.

It was time for John Travolta to prove he still has it, and he certainly didn’t disappoint his fans.
