Eminem Slammed For ‘Sick And Tasteless’ Song On New Album With Controversial Reference

Eminem is being slammed over a ‘sick and tasteless’ song on his new album.

Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Bruce Mathers III, is regarded as one of the greatest rappers of all time.

The 15-time Grammy Award winner is recognized for tracks such as ‘My Name Is,’ ‘Stan,’ And ‘Lose Yourself.’

Throughout his work, Eminem has been known to diss fellow celebrities and refer to controversial matters.

Some of the 51-year-old rapper’s biggest hits have featured disses at other artists.

One particular dig was aimed at pop star Christina Aguilera.

The ‘Dirrty’ singer leaked that Eminem had married longtime girlfriend Kim in a secret ceremony in her MTV special What A Girl Wants. She also warned women about the consequences of physical abuse in relationships.

Eminem would air his frustrations at Aguilera in ‘The Real Slim Shady’: “Little b**** put me on blast on MTV / ’Yeah, he’s cute, but I think he’s married to Kim, hee-hee’ / I should download her audio on MP3 / And show the whole world how you gave Eminem VD (Argh!).”

Aguilera and her team dismissed the song’s claim that she had been romantically involved with Eminem, she also released the diss track, ‘The Real Slim Shady (Please Shut Up).’

Although the pair were said to have made it up at the 2002 MTV VMAs, the rapper released the 10-minute freestyle ‘Kick Off,’ which once again ridiculed Aguilera.

Eminem has also made jabs at fellow rapper Machine Gun Kelly.

Back in 2012, MGK reportedly made a tweet (which has since been deleted) that referred to Eminem’s daughter Hailie Jade as ‘hot as f***.’

The ‘Emo Girl’ artist would later claim he had been banned from appearing on the rapper’s Shade 45 radio station.

Eminem referenced MGK’s tweet in the track ‘Not Alike’: “I’m talkin’ to you, but you already know who the f*** you are, Kelly… I don’t use sublime and sure as f*** don’t sneak-diss… But keep commenting on my daughter Hailie.”

In response, MGK dropped ‘Rap Devil,’ which criticized the ‘Mockingbird’ artist’s character, legacy and age.

When interviewed by Sway, Eminem denied the pair had been beef because of MGK’s 2012 tweet.

He explained (per Esquire): “The reason I dissed him is actually a lot more petty than that.

“The reason that I dissed him is because he got on – first, he said, ‘I’m the greatest rapper alive since my favorite rapper banned me from Shade 45,’ or whatever he said, right?

“Like I’m trying to hinder his career. I don’t give a f*** about your career. You think I actually f***in’ think about you?

“You know how many f***in’ rappers that are better than you? You’re not even in the f***in’ conversation.”

In Eminem’s latest work, ‘The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grace),’ the rapper has again not held back.

In the lead single ‘Houdini,’ he references the infamous 2020 shooting involving Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez.

He spits in the track: “If I was to ask for Megan Thee / Stallion if she would collab with me / Would I really have a shot at a feat? / I don’t know but I’m glad to be.”

Elsewhere on the album, Eminem disses Amber Heard, Ben Affleck, Caitlyn Jenner, Lizzo, and Ye, among others, per Complex.

But there is one track in particular that has caused an outrage.

Fans have taken to X (formerly known as Twitter) to share their distaste at the ‘sick and tasteless’ lyrics in ‘Fuel.’

One person writes: “Disrespectful. No class.”

Another says: “I thought Eminem was better than that, guess I was wrong.”

“It wasn’t his place,” a third tweets.

Somebody else comments: “He’s one sick dude. Your ears, mind, and spirit are better off avoiding filth.”

Alec Baldwin

In ‘Fuel,’ Eminem references Alec Baldwin’s Rust shooting.

He raps: “But it’s in a holster, I proceed to bust it/ F*** around and get popped like Halyna Hutchins.

“Like I’m Alec Baldwin, what I mean is buckin’ you down, coup de grâce then.”

Baldwin, now 66, was rehearsing a scene for the western movie on the film’s set in New Mexico in 2021 when the gun he was holding discharged. A bullet was fired despite the fact it wasn’t supposed to be loaded.

Cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was killed and director Joel Souza was injured.

Baldwin has said he didn’t pull the trigger and his lawyer, Luke Nikas, stated the actor ‘had no reason to believe there was a live bullet in the gun – or anywhere on that movie set,’ adding: “He relied on the professionals with whom he worked, who assured him the gun did not have live rounds.”

In January 2024, Baldwin was indicted on a new involuntary manslaughter charge and it went to trial in July. The case was dismissed after a few days, per CBS News.
