Tragic details emerge surrounding 2024 Miss American Fork’s ‘unexpected’ death

The family of a former beauty queen has announced her unexpected death, two years after she was crowned Miss American Fork 2024.

Brynn Carnesecca has been remembered as a “bright light” by loved ones, with friends and members of the pageant community paying tribute following the announcement.

Her family has not publicly disclosed a cause of death.

Brynn’s cousin, Kassidy Jackman Murdoch, launched a GoFundMe campaign after her passing, sharing a heartfelt message on behalf of the family.

According to the fundraiser, donations will help cover funeral expenses, support the family as they grieve, and contribute toward creating a memorial in Brynn’s honor. At the time of writing, the campaign had raised nearly $17,000 toward its $20,000 goal.

Family remembers Brynn as a “bright light”

On the GoFundMe page, Kassidy wrote, “Brynn Carnesecca was more than just my cousin- she was a bright light in our family and community.

“As an accomplished pianist, journalist, and the creator of Envelopes of Hope, Brynn dedicated herself to sharing stories and spreading kindness. Her passion for helping others was evident in everything she did.

“Our family is heartbroken by Brynn’s unexpected passing.

“We want to honor her memory in a way that reflects her spirit and the love she gave to so many. Brynn touched countless lives through her work and her generosity, and we hope to celebrate her legacy with a meaningful memorial.”

She added that the family hopes to create a memorial that “truly honors Brynn.”

“We are grateful for any help you can offer. Please consider donating or sharing this fundraiser to help us honor Brynn and support our family.”

Brynn earned the Miss American Fork title in 2024 through the Miss Utah Scholarship Organization, which provides scholarship opportunities while serving as a pathway to the statewide Miss Utah competition.

Remembered for her kindness and service

The Miss Utah Scholarship Organization also shared a tribute, saying Brynn “brought so much light” to its programs.

The organization praised her “kindness, friendship and service,” while extending its thoughts and prayers to her family.

In addition to winning Miss American Fork 2024, Brynn received the Miss Congeniality Award at the 2025 Miss Utah competition.

The honor is voted on by fellow contestants and recognizes the participant who has had the most positive impact on those around her.

According to the GoFundMe page, Brynn also founded Envelopes of Hope, an initiative focused on sharing stories and spreading kindness throughout the community.

As Miss American Fork, she represented her city at community events, supported charitable causes, and competed for the title of Miss Utah.
