When something surprising occurs and you think the person got what they deserved, you might see it as a form of universal justice. This is how a lot of people view the death of Urfan Sharif.
Urfan Sharif was found guilty of killing his 10-year-old daughter, Sarah. She was at home in the UK, and he was convicted of some of the most horrifying kinds of child abuse you can imagine. He was given a life sentence in prison.
Sarah’s stepmother also got a life sentence for her role in the young girl’s death.
This tragedy happened when Sarah was discovered dead in August 2023. Her father and stepmother ran away to Pakistan soon after it happened.
After being sentenced on December 17, 2024, Urfan has been serving his time in a London prison known for holding high-profile criminals.
Just a week into his life sentence, other inmates attacked Urfan with a sharp lid from a tuna can. Reports say he got cuts on his neck and face and was treated at the prison without being taken to a hospital.
A hospital spokesperson stated: “Police are looking into an assault on a prisoner at HMP Belmarsh on January 1. It would not be right to say more while they are investigating.”
The Metropolitan police also confirmed that they are looking into an allegation of a prisoner being assaulted. According to their estimates, the convict had injuries that were not life-threatening.

Sarah, his daughter, had gone through ‘unimaginable pain, misery, and anxiety’ from being bitten, burned, and beaten in her own home. Along with her father and stepmother, her 29-year-old uncle, Faisal Malik, was found guilty of allowing her death and was sentenced to 16 years in prison.
