All the Team GB competitors you can watch at the Olympics today

Yesterday saw gold rush for Team GB

After a golden day for Team GB on day 7, the Brits will be looking to continue this rich vein of form going into a day full of medal opportunities in equestrian, rowing, athletics and swimming at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

The day begins early as always with golf and shooting underway from 8am while at 9am GB go in the grand prix special dressage event which sees the top 10 teams go head-to-head as GB look for an equestrian hat-trick of golds.

At the same time, Team GB will be taking on Argentina in pool B of the women’s hockey, with only position riding on the outcome as both teams have already qualified for the next round.

GB’s rowers were back in action as they looked to increase their impressive medal haul even further in the big boats, the eights, on the water at the Vaire-sur-Marne nautical stadium.

The women’s eight won a bronze just before 10am while the men took a brilliant gold in their race at 10:10.

At 10am the men’s cycling road race will start with GB sending a strong team made up of Tom Pidcock, Josh Tarling, Fred Wright and Stephen Williams.

In the pool, Anna Hopkins will race in the women’s 50m freestyle heats with Daniel Jervis taking on his heat in the pool at 10:30 in the men’s 1500m freestyle.

From 11am the waters in the Bay of Marseille will be busy with a raft events taking place, most notably the women’s windsurfing medal race featuring GB’s Emma Wilson, who has a real chance of success.

A small break follows for lunch with GB back in action from 14:30 in artistic gymnastics, where Jake Jarman and Luke Whitehouse will compete in the final of the men’s floor.

Look out for the exciting new kayak cross event taking place at the same time with Mallory Franklin and Kimberley Woods making up the British interest.

Meanwhile Adam Burgess and Joseph Clarke go for the men at 15:40.

One of Team GB’s biggest stars, Max Whitlock, will be making his first appearance at 16:15 in the men’s pommel final as he seeks to defend his Olympic title.

The athletics will be underway at the Stade de France from 18:00 as George Mills gets a seconds chance in the repechages of the men’s 1500m.

At 18:50 things turn to the explosive speed Britain’s sprinters as Dina Asher-Smith, Daryll Neita and Imani Lansiquot race in the semi-finals of the women’s 100m.

If any of the three qualify, they will try for a medal in the women’s 100m final at 20:20.

Later in the evening at 19:30 Lewis Richardson fights Zeyad Eashash in the 71kg men’s boxing quarterfinal.

GB will have another medal opportunity at 19:55 in the 4x400m mixed relay final before the day ends with two more medal races over in the pool.

Abbie Wood goes in the women’s 200m individual medley final at 20:08 while at 20:58 GB will try their hand in the mixed 4x100m medley relay final.

Well there you have it, another action packed day at the 2024 Paris Olympics and plenty of chance for Team GB to continue climbing the medal leaderboard.
