Christina Haack Shares Crying Photo from ‘Flip Off’ Set After Ex Josh Hall Claimed Drama Was ‘Manufactured’

Christina Haack is sharing the aftermath of a fight with Josh Hall on The Flip Off after he claimed it was “manufactured drama.”

The Christina on the Coast star, 41, took to her Instagram Stories on Monday, Jan. 6 to fire back at her ex’s claims that a volatile scene between them in her upcoming HGTV series (out Jan. 29) was inauthentic.

Josh, 44, wrote in an Instagram post about the newly released footage earlier that day, “TFW when you can’t get enough ratings with celebrity [home] designers, so you rely on manufactured drama with me, a nobody. @HGTV you’ve changed.”

“Manufactured?!” Christina responded over a screenshot of Josh’s post. “Pretty sure no one at HGTV told you to be rude to me… That was all natural.”

In a second slide, Christina shares a photo of herself crying in her car after filming The Flip Off with Josh back in June.

“This was taken on June 21, 2024. After one of my shoots with Josh. This is ‘real’ and a reminder to myself that I deserve better,” she captioned the photo.

The clip that set off their exchange was filmed before their July 2024 split and released by HGTV on Jan.2. In it, Josh can be heard telling Christina to “shut up” and saying that she’s “pissing me off.”

The scene, filmed as the former couple drive to the home they’re flipping on the show, starts with Josh saying, “This is a competition. We gotta pull out all stops. Whatever it takes to win, I’ll do it. Halls rule!” as he glances over at Christina.

“You’re supposed to say it with me, or repeat it, or something that shows that you’re with me,” he adds. “Remember, you’re a Hall now. Don’t get confused in this competition about what your last name is,” he continues. When Christina doesn’t respond, he snaps, “You’re rude.”

“I don’t over talk,” she finally says.

Josh then replies, “Yeah, the s—t you say and I’m just like, ‘I wish you’d shut up already.” He adds, “My wife’s pissing me off already,” to which Christina simply asks, “Are we there yet?”

The Flip Off was first announced in May 2024 and was originally set to star the now-exes as teammates. At the time, Josh made many appearances in promo videos for the house flipping competition show, which also stars Christina’s first husband Tarek El Moussa and his current wife Heather Rae El Moussa.

After news of their split became public in July 2024, Christina returned to filming without Josh, though HGTV never directly addressed the status of his involvement with the series. However, the network did remove him from new promo photos released in December.
