The actor has revealed regrets about one of his films
When a Hollywood actor talks about some of their most iconic characters or big performances, it’s usually praising it or hyping it up.
Yet for actor Chris Hemsworth, he’s got very real about one of his roles where he feels he didn’t give the best performance.
Known for starring as Thor in the MCU film series, the actor became well known for his role as the God of Thunder with film fans buying into the four film franchise.
Yet the franchises latest instalment, Thor: Love and Thunder, which came out in 2022 has proved to be the one that Hemsworth isn’t 100% proud of.

Whilst Hemsworth isn’t hugely proud of it, there’s no denying it’s a huge success as it made a whopping $760 million at the box office.
Sitting with an impressive 76 percent Rotten Tomatoes audience score, Thor: Love and Thunder has proved to be well liked by audiences, whilst receiving a middling 64% score from critics.
Tom Shone, from The Times, wrote: “Not just the best Marvel movie yet made, but a bona fide camp comedy classic: fast, bright, gaudy, prickly, antic and fun.”
While the Decider’s John Serba penned: “As visually memorable as the sequence can be, narratively, it’s wet spaghetti flung at the plaster and wacky-wallwalking its way to the floor.”
Yet despite all that praise, Hemsworth still isn’t pleased with the fourth film as he explained whilst sitting down to speak with Vanity Fair. In the interview, Hemsworth said he can’t forgive himself for the movie as he explained: “I got caught up in the improv and the wackiness, I became a parody of myself. I didn’t stick the landing.”
Hemsworth went on to say he had become a parody of himself in the MCU’s Thor: Love and Thunder, though he was able to add his signature flair with Thor: Ragnarok.
In his family life and away from films, Hemsworth has spoken about why his young son doesn’t call him dad.

In an Instagram post from a family vacation, the actor wrote: “My son wanted to catch a fish for the locals in Fiji and after 3 attempts and about 12 hrs at sea we pulled in this beauty. Fed the village for 3 days.”
In the post a video clip of the family fishing featured one of his nine-year-old twin boys, Sasha and Tristan, shouting: “Come on, Chris! Keep on fighting it.”
In the second section of the Instagram caption, Hemsworth addressed why his son had called him by his name rather than ‘Dad’ as he wrote: “Ps if you’re wondering why my son calls me Chris it’s because I’m his BFF and true mates don’t call each other dad.”
