Seven years after Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian finalized their divorce, the former basketball player detailed their present-day relationship in an exclusive clip shared with E! News.
Lamar Odom doesn’t keep up with Khloe Kardashian these days.
Nearly eight years after the former NBA player and the Kardashians star finalized their divorce, he revealed what their relationship looks like now.
“I don’t speak to her much,” Lamar told Richard Taite in E! News’ exclusive clip from the Nov. 19 episode of the We’re Out of Time podcast. “She still cares about me. But I don’t speak to her.”
However, that doesn’t mean there’s no communication between the former couple, who broke up in 2013 but finalized their divorce in 2016 after Khloe supported him through a major health scare. As he put it, “I can text her and she’ll reply.”
Although Lamar and Khloe—who tied the knot in 2009, one month after they met at a party—don’t maintain much of a relationship, the 45-year-old admitted that he recently purchased a custom sex doll to look like the reality star.
“They’re going to make it look like her,” the Los Angeles Lakers alum said of the adult toy. “It’s sick, but I think we’re all a little off, a little weird.”
Despite splitting from the Good American founder—who now shares daughter True, 6, and Tatum, 2, with ex Tristan Thompson—Lamar previously opened up about their marriage.
“I’m only speaking for myself, but it’d be hard to really forget somebody after you married them after 30 days,” Lamar told E! News in March. “[It’s] probably impactful, you know, for the rest of your life—whether you stay with them or not.”

Although he noted that they hadn’t seen each other in “a long time,” he had a heartfelt message for his ex-wife if they crossed paths again. “That I love her and that I’m grateful and that I miss her,” he explained. “And I wish her and her kids the best.”
Their marriage also gave Lamar the opportunity to develop a deep bond with her little brother Rob Kardashian, whom he still considers a brother.
“I don’t have any siblings,” he told E!. “It was cool to me to have somebody come into my life and play that role. I learned from it.”
“Once a family, always a family,” he continued, attributing his “old school” mindset to his grandmother Mildred Mercer. “The past is the past.”
Lamar emphasized that while he hasn’t seen Rob in years, “We’re always going to be family.”
