Lana Del Rey has spoken out
Lana Del Rey has put to bed rumors of an online feud with fellow singer Lizzo.
Fans of both women were left in shock this week when speculation emerged that they were apparently going at it on social media.
A screenshot that purported to show a war of words between the musicians was posted on X. The screenshots showed a comment left by Lizzo, 36, in which she said: “I would love to see you back on the charts.”

Lana, 39, supposedly responded: “I would love to see you run a treadmill.”
But on this occasion, all the rumors are false.
The TikTok comments were fabricated. They were eventually shared by a satirical pop culture account on X, however, many music fans appeared to fall for it.
The ‘Blue Jeans’ singer responded to the fake comments by confirming that she never said anything mean about Lizzo on social media. She posted three comments from her Instagram account, the first of which said: “I don’t have an official TikTok, other than the grants one sooooo.”
She then added: “Or a Twitter.”
And she finally concluded that the whole ordeal was ‘very random’.
Fans of the pair were happy to find out that there is no bad blood between them. “People actually believed that was real,” one shocked X user said.
Another fan declared: “Y’all need to stop setting up my QUEEN!”
A third wrote: “Fake. I knew it.”
The post containing the fabricated comments between Lana and Lizzo accumulated at least 20 million impressions, 380,000 likes and 22,000 reposts, but has since been deleted after it was shared on Wednesday.
Last month, Lizzo showed off her recent weight loss. She has been keeping fans updated on her journey and in a recent post, she wore a black workout bra and changed into sweatpants while smiling and posing for the camera.

Writing on Instagram she shared the video clip with the caption: “Is it fall yet???? #lizzoxyitty.”
The video comes as Lizzo has shut down rumours that her weight loss has been thanks to taking Ozempic.
The star shared a reel on Instagram recently, which she finished with the tagline: “When you finally get Ozempic allegations after 5 months of weight training and calorie deficit.”
She then shared a screenshot of a comment from a social media user where they accused her of taking Ozempic.
Speaking to The New York Times in March she made it very clear her weight loss journey didn’t come with short cuts as she shared: “I’ve been methodical, losing weight very slowly.”
In another interview she added: “I don’t really see it because if anyone who’s on a natural weight-loss journey knows, losing weight is actually the slowest thing in the world and you don’t really notice it until you notice it.”
