The Drake Curse strikes again
In true Drake fashion, the rapper has just lost another eye-staggering bet on a sports event. And this time around, it was Jake Paul and Mike Tyson’s boxing bout.
The YouTuber-turned boxer and legendary heavyweight battled it out tonight at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas after a year of back-and-forth.
Paul came out as the winner of the match in a unanimous decision.

Like most people watching the fight, or at least what most people were wishing for, Drake assumed Tyson would be the winner of the evening and bet $355,000 on his chances.
However, for anyone unfamiliar with the Drake Curse, the rapper often makes bets on sporting events whether it be UFC, soccer, or basketball, and more often than not whoever he says is going to win ends up losing.

So, I’ll leave it up to you to decide if Drake was the reason Tyson lost tonight but the internet seems to think that’s why.
“IT’S ALWAYS DRAKE,” one user wrote on Twitter.
“I’ve never sen Drake win a bet,” added another.
“Mike Tyson might not have won but at least Drake lost,” wrote another.
And as one user succinctly put it, “Dude can’t catch a break this year.”
Tyson and Paul were initially planned to box in the summer but just two months before their bout the once undisputed two-time heavyweight champion of the world was forced to pull out due to an ‘ulcer flare up’.

Fans forked out as much as $2 million for the spectacle – yes, there were really VIP tickets going for that much and all the tickets have sold out.
There were 65,000 people in attendance while millions more are tuning in around the globe through streaming giant Netflix.
While it hasn’t been revealed just how much money is on the line it’s understood that the winner will be getting tens of millions of dollars. Speaking at a press conference in August, Paul said: “I’m here to make $40 million and knock out a legend.”
Tyson is rumored to have a purse of $20 million.
It’s not yet known how much if anything the loser will get, but both boxers are adamant they don’t need the money.
According to Celebrity New Worth, Tyson is estimated to be worth $10 million while Paul stands at $80 million dollars – it’s a huge payday for either fighter even if they don’t wish to admit it.
